PERSONAL MEANS PERSONAL.
Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026 · Applies to this website, direct purchases, and the Cue app for Mac.
Your day is personal. Cue is designed to help you make room for it—not turn it into someone else’s data.
1. The short version
Cue is a local-first Mac companion. Its core Calendar, Reminders, prompt, and focus features do not require a Cue account or a Cue backend. Calendar and Reminders access is read-only. Cue does not sell your personal information, run advertising, or add behavioral analytics to this website.
The Cue app does not send your calendar, reminders, focus history, or any other personal information to the developer or to third parties. It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites.
If you buy Cue directly, Polar handles the payment as merchant of record, and the developer receives only the order details needed for your download and support.
The interactive website demo is an illustration, not a connection to the Mac app. It uses fictional content and does not request access to your calendar, reminders, microphone, camera, or contacts.
2. When you visit this website
The pages, fonts, artwork, and scripts are served directly from the website’s host. There are no embedded third-party videos, advertising pixels, analytics scripts, contact forms, or newsletter sign-ups. The Buy button is a plain link to Polar’s checkout; nothing from Polar loads until you choose to open it.
The demo’s state stays in your browser’s working memory. It does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not send demo interactions to a server. Reloading the page resets the demo.
Delivering a web page necessarily sends technical information, such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser request headers, to the hosting infrastructure. The host and network providers may process operational or security logs. These requests do not contain your Calendar or Reminders content. This site does not add a separate visitor profile or tracking identifier.
3. When you buy Cue directly
Direct purchases use Polar’s hosted checkout at polar.sh. Polar Software, Inc. is the merchant of record: it collects your email address, name, billing country or address, and payment details, processes the payment with its payment partners, calculates tax, and sends your receipt and download link. Polar handles that information under its own privacy policy.
The developer receives the order details needed to deliver the download and help you, such as your name, email address, country, the product, the amount, and the order date. The developer never receives your full card number. Order details are used only for your purchase, support, and legal or tax records; they are not sold or used for advertising.
Buying Cue does not connect the Mac app to Polar or to the developer. The app does not check in, activate online, send usage data, or share your calendar after purchase.
4. Calendar and Reminders access
The Mac app asks for Calendar and Reminders permissions separately through macOS. You decide whether to grant access and which calendars or reminder lists to select. Reminder prompts require a separate opt-in.
Cue uses locally available information to identify a relevant commitment, show a timely prompt, and support a local focus session. It does not edit, complete, or delete your source events or reminders. Completing a session in Cue is not the same as completing a reminder in Apple Reminders.
Calendar and Reminders content is not uploaded to a Cue server. Your operating system or calendar provider may sync that content under its own settings and privacy policy.
5. Information kept on your Mac
Cue can keep preferences, selected-source references, active-session recovery information, prompt decisions, and focus history locally so the experience can continue across app launches. Local history and recovery records may include commitment context needed by the app.
Exports and portable backups are created only when you choose to create them. A history export includes titles only when you explicitly choose that option. You control where exported files are saved and how they are shared. Files you export are no longer managed solely by Cue.
Core functionality works with the Calendar and Reminders snapshots already on your Mac when you are offline. Offline use cannot make new remote provider changes available before macOS has synced them.
6. Your choices and controls
- Choose your calendars, reminder lists, and optional reminder prompts in Settings.
- Change Calendar and Reminders permissions in macOS System Settings at any time.
- Use Cue’s privacy presentation settings to limit what its surfaces show.
- Review or export ordinary focus history, clear that history, or use the named reset controls in Settings → Privacy. Read the confirmation: history clearing, settings reset, and Cue reset have different scopes.
- Remove exported files and backups separately wherever you saved them.
- Ask the developer to access or delete the order details it holds, subject to records that must be kept for tax or legal reasons.
Clearing Cue history does not delete source calendars or reminders or change macOS permissions. Compatibility records retained from older builds may be outside ordinary history and reset scopes. Cue’s confirmation explains the affected categories rather than claiming to erase every local file.
7. Other services and optional connections
Apple controls macOS permission dialogs, account synchronization, notification delivery, and App Store services. Polar controls the direct checkout and payment. Opening a meeting or a source application can also hand off to a separate app or service. Those services process information under their own policies.
Optional direct Google access is separate from calendars already synced through Apple Calendar and is not used by this website. In builds that offer it, connecting is an explicit browser authorization for read-only calendar access. The provider processes authorization and calendar requests; credentials and the minimal source cache are handled by the local app. Disconnecting does not erase your source account or its events. Available integrations depend on the build you use.
8. Changes and privacy questions
This policy will be updated if the data practices described here change. The effective date at the top identifies this version. A future feature that needs a materially different data practice should be explained before you enable it.
For privacy questions or requests, email danilo.casim14@gmail.com or visit Support. Because Cue keeps your Calendar, Reminders, and history on your Mac, the developer does not hold a copy of that information. Do not send calendar content or credentials when asking for help.
